Florida quietly gave consumers the right to opt out of automated decisions.

SB 262 was reported as a children’s data law. Buried in the statute is an adult-facing provision letting Florida consumers refuse profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Most coverage missed it. Here is what it actually requires.
